3 scary mistakes that people make with their documents in daily basis
As it is Halloween, we thought we’d share the three scary things we see people doing (and not doing!) when it comes to getting a translation or Apostille for their documents done:
- Ordering the translation of documents AT a translation agency without checking its credentials;
- Trusting them with the translation of such important documents as Vital Records, Legal or Educational documents based solely on their possibly being cheaper or nearer in location;
- Leaving the translation to the last minute and paying an expedited services fee (usually, an additional 30% of the regular price).
Consider all “pros” and “cons” before hiring someone to translate your documents. Sometimes, it is really worth it to go the extra mile to be assured that your documents are in the right hands.
Do not make decisions in rush. Before placing your translation order online and disclosing your credit card information, do some quick research about the translation agency – its social network connections and profile, reviews posted under the company’s Google, Yelp or FaceBook pages, and, definitely, call their office to speak with a project manager. Your intuition will guide you!
Manage your time properly, plan in advance and make a right choice – procrastination and wrong decision are frequently costly!
